Has anyone ever used a slide on an electric guitar? and if so, how would you transition from using the slide to doing things like bar chords or playing regularly?

what I used to do on stage was put my slide in a shirt pocket. that way you could use your picking hand to grab it while you position your left hand on the fretboard in preparation for what you're playing next.and so the slide will make little noise when you switch, start it right at the nut and slide up. And, when you're done with it, slide down, then take it off the strings. hope that helps.
